Sebastian Noriega, born in the capital city of Colombia, Bogota is a contemporary guitar, bass player, multi-instrumentalist, and Composer. Music has given him the opportunity to know multiple places and countries. As an eternal foreigner his goal is to incorporate new sounds from all the places he gets to know.

In his early years, he taught himself how to play guitar, and since then, he has been seeking and trying to discover new worlds, melodies, and perspectives of music, playing Progressive Rock , Rock Fusion, Jazz fusion Funk, Blues, Latin, Pop, R&B, and so on.

In the last 5 years, Sebastian has submerged back into his musical roots of Colombian traditional music, working with Vallenato artists in a project where it was essential to feature instruments that are not usually part of the genre. Additionally, he recorded guitars for an Indian movie called ‘The Three-Legged Horse’, and he also performed with bands in Australia and Colombia, such as Sofi IV, Gravis Mentis (Bass) , Daniel Lee’s Ripples of change, Riley Mason AKA Maso, Moonburn, Tuva Finseras, Chlkwrk and so on.

Sebastian is a multifaceted musician that has also worked in educational field teaching Guitar and Bass, as well as music theory to peers and musician colleagues, from beginners to advanced level. He was worked as music teacher in Primary Schools teaching mainly Guitar and Bass, but he also taught Piano and Drums. Also, he got to direct small ensembles and to prepare students for AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) and ANZCA (Australian and New Zealand Cultural Arts Limited) examinations every term.

His experience has helped him understand how a group of completely different and diverse elements can contribute creatively to society; therefore, he enjoys being part of projects that develop his musicianship as a performer, educator, arranger, composer, and producer.

He is currently finishing his master’s degree in contemporary performance and production in Berklee College of Music in the Valencia, Spain campus. For his final project, he is working on a live recording project that aims to merge Western contemporary and Latin American music. This project consists of an ensemble that explores different musical genres in which he wants to establish a wide number of connections between professional and self-taught musicians.

In the last years he performed in the Palau de Les Arts multiple times with the Berklee guest ensembles, as well as been part of productions such as Lago de Conciertos, Inocon, La Fira de Berklee and many others. Additionally, he has been performing or recording for/with artists like Filo Ebid, Avery Raquel, Serkan Hakki, Ms. Jaylin Brown, NAHA, Franco Pinazzo and many others.

Additionally, he had the privilege of contributing as a guest guitarist to a project led by the acclaimed producer Christian Lorh. He also played a role in the production team for Nic Hard, the producer behind Snarky Puppy, on the track 'Flowers in Bloom,' which went on to win the Grand Prize in the R&B category at the John Lennon Songwriting Contest 2024.
